The Jurassic Park Velociraptor. A carnivore. They are very small for how big of a bite they have. The velociraptors in jurassic park are between nie and twelve feet in length. thats double the size of what a velociraptor has been claimed to be. However, velocirators are no bigger than the average wolf. Ever since the first appearance in jurassic park the velocraptors have made an appearance in every movies, episode, and game. Velociraptors are from the late Cretaceous period. They reproduce by laying eggs, and they hatch to be born.

Did Velociraptors have Feathers?

In the movies and seies, the velociraptors actually didn't have feathers, despite popular belief. Most scientests believe that all velciraptors had feathers though in the Jurassic Park Movies, there wasn't a single feather to be seen. Feathers are very hard to trace in dinosaurs because the only way to trace them is through DNA and nobody seems to think about where a feather can come from, most people always assume it's just a bird feather, though they can be from anything.

Jurassic Park Velociraptor appearance

The Jurassic park Velociraptors are very small carnivores and they are no bigger than an average wolf. They have a snaggle claw known as the "long claw". Their tails are very long and end in a point. Velociraptors have eyes on the side of their heads like a horse and they have very sharp teeth. Most of the Jurassic park velociraptors have a distinct coloration to tell them apart. Blue, the velociraptor has a blie line running down from her eye to the tip of her tail. Other velcoiraptors in Jurassic ark have blue spotsor even are just plain brownish-grey in coloration.

Jurassic Park Velociraptor Facts

The velociraptors actually never were alive in the Jurassic period. They were alive in a whole nother era of dinosaurs, they were alive in the era knwn as the cretaceous period. Through popular belief of them being the size they are in the movies, real velocraptors were actually only the size of a turkey, rather than the velociraptors in Jurassic Park being the size of a wolf. The velociraptors in jurassic park were not only way too big to be a real raptor, they were actually based on a whole different dinosaur completely. The dinosaur they based them on was actually the Deinonychus, they are a very similar dinosaur, though they are a whole different genus, meaning they don't have the same DNA. The dinosaurs in the movies were discovered in America, rather than the area where they actually lived. The last fact is that Velociraptors are led by the females and they are actually mostly females in the movies. Like the other dinosaurs, the genetically created volociraptors were all women to start out with.
