Dinosaur Species List

Complete Dinosaur Species List

The Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises have introduced audiences to dozens of incredible dinosaur species, from the towering Brachiosaurus to the terrifying Indominus Rex. World of Jurassic Park features faithful recreations of every species seen in the films — and more.

Theropods: The Predators

The carnivorous theropods are the most feared dinosaurs on the islands. The Tyrannosaurus Rex is the undisputed queen, but she shares her territory with intelligent Velociraptors, the horned Carnotaurus, the spine-backed Spinosaurus, and the massive Giganotosaurus. Smaller predators like Dilophosaurus (with its venomous spit) and Compsognathus are equally dangerous in their own way.

Herbivores: The Gentle Giants

Not all dinosaurs are predators. The long-necked Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus are awe-inspiring gentle giants. The armored Ankylosaurus, the three-horned Triceratops, the plated Stegosaurus, and the dome-headed Pachycephalosaurus each bring unique characteristics. The duck-billed Parasaurolophus is known for its distinctive crest and haunting calls.

Marine and Flying Reptiles

The franchise expanded beyond land dinosaurs to include the massive Mosasaurus in its ocean lagoon and soaring Pteranodons and Dimorphodons in the aviary. These creatures add entirely new dimensions of danger.
